Join the National Student Movement
Joining the United States Student Association (USSA) means becoming part of a national, student-led movement working to make higher education accessible, affordable, and just for all.
1. Review USSA’s Mission and Values
Before joining, ensure your student government or organization aligns with USSA’s mission, values, and commitment to building a democratic, student-led national movement.
2. Pass a Membership Resolution
To officially join USSA, your student government must pass a resolution through your student government

Affirm your commitment to USSA’s mission and values

Declare your intent to join the national association

Commit to active participation in the student movement

3. Submit Your Resolution

Once your resolution has been passed, email a copy along with your organization’s information to:

Please include:

Institution name
-
Student government or organization name

Names and contact information for student leaders

A copy of the passed resolution
Join a national network of student leaders
Participate in campaigns, trainings, and advocacy efforts
Help shape the direction and priorities of USSA
