FOUNDATION
BOARD

The USSA Foundation (USSAF) is the tax-exempt arm of the United States Student Association (USSA), the oldest, largest, and most inclusive organization representing millions of college and university students nationwide. USSA/USSAF’s mission is to develop current and future student leaders, promote sound educational access policies at the national level, and ensure that authentic student voices are heard by policymakers at the state and federal levels.  Our core belief is that a college education is a right and should be accessible for all regardless of socioeconomic background and identity.

The mission of USSAF is to empower, train, and provide an organizing support network to students committed to: increasing access to higher education, especially for historically underrepresented communities; working against racism, sexism, classism, abilism, and homophobia; and increasing student civic participation, including voting. USSAF deliberately trains young people to be leaders in society and is often the first step in a lifelong career in public service through nonprofit organizations, foundations, government, academia, and labor unions.
