LegCon 2026 Registration

The United States Student Association’s 48th Grassroots Legislative Conference (LegCon) brings college students from across the country to Washington, D.C. for a powerful, multi-day experience focused on organizing, leadership development, and federal advocacy. Throughout the conference, participants will take part in interactive workshops and trainings led by experienced organizers, policy experts, and movement leaders. Sessions will focus on federal policy issues impacting students, grassroots organizing strategies, coalition-building, and how to effectively engage decision-makers. The conference culminates in direct meetings with Members of Congress and their staff, giving students the opportunity to bring their lived experiences and demands straight to Capitol Hill.

Grassroots Legislative Conference is about building collective power. When students show up together in large numbers, we shape national narratives, influence policy, and strengthen a student movement that is capable of organizing across campuses and states long after the conference ends.

Registration for the 48th Grassroots Legislative Conference is free.

There is no cost to register or attend the conference itself. However, participants are responsible for covering their own travel and hotel accommodations. USSA is not able to provide travel or lodging scholarships for this conference.

We encourage students to plan early, coordinate with peers, student organizations, or campus partners, and make arrangements that allow them to fully participate in this national moment for student power.
