What is LegCon?
LegCon is the largest annual student advocacy conference in the country, bringing students to Washington, DC to receive advocacy training, engage in policy discussions, and meet directly with Members of Congress.

Who Can Attend?
LegCon is open to undergraduate and graduate students, recent graduates, and student advocates. No prior advocacy or lobbying experience is required.

Conference Dates & Location
LegCon 2026 will take place March 19–23, 2026 in Washington, DC.
Registration Cost
Registration pricing will be announced on the official conference website. Registration includes access to conference programming, advocacy training, and Capitol Hill meetings.

Goal & Benefits
LegCon equips students with advocacy skills, policy knowledge, leadership development, and direct experience engaging with federal policymakers.

Travel & Transportation
Students are responsible for their own travel to Washington, DC. Local travel during the conference will rely on public transportation and walking.

Hotels & Lodging
Students are responsible for booking their own lodging. Recommended hotels and room block information will be shared closer to the event.
​
Meals
Some meals or light refreshments may be provided. Students should budget for most meals and daily expenses.
​
Dress Code
Business or business-casual attire is expected for advocacy days and Capitol Hill meetings. Comfortable professional shoes are recommended.
