The Legislative Director leads USSA’s federal policy, advocacy, and legislative strategy. This position requires a skilled strategist and relationship builder who thrives in dynamic political environments and believes in the power of students to shape public policy.

Based in Washington, D.C., the Legislative Director will develop and implement a proactive, year-round federal legislative agenda; cultivate relationships with congressional leaders, federal agencies, and national partners; and ensure students have timely, accessible information to influence policy. The Director will also coordinate with statewide student associations and federal legislative directors, connecting local organizing efforts to national strategy.
